How to Make Bubble Tea

Traditional bubble tea. Please read all instructions before cooking!

Step 1 of 11: Supplies for bubble tea are: 1 cup tapioca pearls, water, 3 tablespoons honey, 3 teaspoons Coffee-mate, 3 tea bags, a bubble tea straw, and a lot of ice cubes.

Step 2 of 11: Put two pots of water on the stove to boil, one for the tapioca and one for the tea.

Step 3 of 11: Pour 1 cup of tapioca pearls into a pot, cover and bring to a boil; boil for 5 mins on high. Leave lid of pot on. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 20 mins. Turn off heat and let sit for 5 mins.

Step 4 of 11: The boiled tapioca pearls should look like this. Don't worry if they are not floating; they will still be fully cooked.

Step 5 of 11: Have a strainer and pot of ice water ready for the tapioca.

Step 6 of 11: Drain tapioca pearls in strainer. Then pour them into the ice water. Make sure the water is super cold for chewiness.

Step 7 of 11: From the other pot, pour water to about 3/4 of a tall cup with three packets if tea. I would recommend black tea but any tea works.

Step 8 of 11: Pour 3 tsp of Coffee-mate into the tea when you feel like it has enough flavor. Mix until it is all dissolved.

Step 9 of 11: Add about 3 tsp of honey or more for a sweeter drink. Put 4 ice cubes in to chill.

Step 10 of 11: Strain tapioca again and spoon tapioca to fill 1/3 of the cup.

Step 11 of 11: Chill the bubble tea for the best taste. Put a bubble tea straw in so you can get the tapioca pearls up. Enjoy! :)
